This Week: Bond Street Bike Lane, WalkNYC in the Bronx

  • Wednesday: Brooklyn Community Board 18’s general board meeting will include a presentation from DOT [2] on plans to improve the Jamaica Bay Greenway. 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: Meet DOT staff and learn about new WalkNYC wayfinding signs [3] planned for Mott Haven, Grand Concourse and Highbridge. This workshop will highlight local destinations and transit options, identify commercial corridors, and encourage walking. 6:00 p.m.
  • Also Thursday: DOT will present [4] its plan for bike lanes and sharrows on Bond Street to Brooklyn Community Board 6’s transportation committee. 6:30 p.m.
