Fourth Avenue Safety Visioning Workshop

Posted By calendar On January 20, 2013 @ 10:55 pm In Events | No Comments

The New York City Department of Transportation will hold a public workshop focused on the future of 4th Avenue between Pacific Street and 15th Street.  NYC DOT has been implementing traffic-calming measures along 4th Avenue between 65th and 15th Streets [1], which were approved overwhelmingly by Community Board 7 last May, and they’re now ready to take a good, hard look at the northernmost stretch of one of the city’s most dangerous streets.

The workshop, co-sponsored by NYC DOT, Borough President Marty Markowitz and the 4th Avenue Task Force chaired by Carlo Scissura, will be aimed at identifying street safety concerns, gathering public input, and discussing street design solutions and other ways to improve the avenue.
