Transportation Research Forum

In May 2011, New York City officials announced that the Nissan NV2000 would be the “Taxi of Tomorrow”. In the spring of 2012, a group working at Columbia University analyzed the Nissan NV 2000 from economic and environmental perspectives. Comparing that vehicle to the vehicles in the existing cab fleet suggests it might not be the best vehicle for the future. Ms. Esposito and Mr. Vrespa will describe their research and offer their proposal for a more feasible alternative.

Speakers: Jessica Esposito Candidate in the Masters of Science Program
Stefano Vrespa Candidate in the Masters of Science Program, Sustainability Management Program, Columbia University
