Help Wanted: Get Paid to Manage the Streetsblog Events Calendar

Update: Thanks to everyone who sent in an application for the calendar gig. We have filled the position.

Streetsblog NYC is looking for someone who’s well-organized and plugged in to the local livable streets scene to take over the management of our events calendar. This is a part-time position and a good way to make some supplemental income, requiring a couple of hours of work per week.

The Streetsblog Calendar is an important resource that keeps New Yorkers posted about volunteer opportunities, conferences, and public hearings related to sustainable transportation and livable streets. And of course, it is bursting with community board meetings.

The calendar manager is paid on a per-item basis, which usually works out to between $100 and $200 per month. The new manager will learn all about the tricks of the trade from our outgoing calendar manager.

If you’re familiar with the local transportation policy landscape and want to contribute to advocacy efforts for safer streets and better transit, we want to hear from you.

To apply, send your resume and one paragraph about your interest in the Streetsblog Calendar gig to Ben Fried: ben@streetsblog.org.
