This Week: Bike-Share Demonstrations, Taxi Forum

It’s a light week on the calendar, with a forum on taxis and livery cabs and more DOT bike-share demonstrations, including a session at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, where NIMBYs want to keep cyclists out.

  • Tuesday: Baruch College hosts a legislative forum entitled “Taxi & Livery Issues of Today & Tomorrow,” featuring state reps Marty Golden and Micah Kellner and City Council transportation chair James Vacca. Former TLC commissioner Matthew Daus is the moderator. 10 a.m. RSVP requested.
  • Also Tuesday: Bike-share demo at Marcy Playground in Brooklyn, 4 to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Bike-share demo at Manhattan’s Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. Noon to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday: Transportation Alternatives holds its regular Brooklyn volunteer committee meeting, featuring TA web and design guru Renée Fidz. 7 p.m.
