This town hall meeting will feature a special welcome by Adolfo Carrión, HUD Regional Director for New York and New Jersey, and a panel discussion, Connecting the Bronx to the Region, featuring representatives from the New York Department of City Planning, Metro-North Railroad and Montefiore Medical Center.

The meeting will focus on how to better utilize Metro-North stations and surrounding areas as well as other initiatives led by the New York – Connecticut Sustainable Communities Consortium. This partnership is working with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and other federal agencies, local governments and regional planning organizations to create economic opportunity, housing options, transit and a better quality of life for you and your community. The New York City Department of City Planning will present on the local sustainable initiative occuring along the Bronx Metro-North Corridor.

This meeting is one of several public forums that will be scheduled throughout Downstate New York and Southern Connecticut to obtain input on program goals and actions that will make our communities more livable, accessible and sustainable.
