This is the monthly meeting of the Manhattan Community Board 7 Transportation Committee. On the agenda:

• Request by John Jay College to the NYC Department of Transportation to make West 59th Street one-way westbound on a permanent basis.
• West 69th Street (Broadway-Columbus Avenue.) Request for a secondary street naming in honor of Matthew P. Sapolin, Commissioner in Memoriam of the Mayor’s Office of People with Disabilities, and Upper West Side resident. Under his leadership MOPD reemerged as a voice for the disabled community.
• Presentation by Mark Groton: “Rethinking the Automobile”.
• Further discussion of electric powered bicycles.
• Continued discussion of working principles for transportation.
• Update on food truck/cart survey.
