EVERYONE I KNOW IN TUDOR CITY IS AGAINST THE PLAN TO PUT A PUBLIC PLAZA AT THE E. 43rd STREET CUL DE SAC for so many reasons:
-It is landmarked to be a peaceful, quiet, place! 
-3 buildings have their freight entrances there and need the cul de sac street and sidewalk to access them
-deliveries and moves need to back their vehicles in there
-the noise will disturb all of the residents surrounding it due to a loud echo
-large vehicles need to make the sharp turn to get out of Tudor City there
-there is no other place to put the garbage which has been deposited there for years without incident
-dangerously high winds whip around that corner
-Tudor City already has 8 parks within a 1 block radius (Tudor North & South Parks, the two playgrounds, Ralph Bunche Park and it’s continuation bet. 42nd & 41st St., Robert Moses Park, and the park behind it) not including the United Nations parks.
-Tudor City already has an art show and has trouble getting enough artists to show at it.
-Photographers don’t need a space where they are “protected”. They already shoot all around Tudor City.
The plan has appeared to be one person’s idea. I heard that Prospect Towers never elected him to represent them on the board of the Tudor City Association, and they have a history of not supporting the association or donating to it (they even throw out their newslettesr without distributing it), so I don’t know why they would be allowed to have a representative anyway, much less one that has a gross conflict of interest.
 
Aside from that, we do not want any more of our parking spaces taken away, and we don’t want film shoots which take over our streets and neighborhood and create a nuissance for everyone. TCA is supposed to fight for the good of the community, not for commerical interests. Shame on you!
