Planning and the Community: A Conversation with Mitch Silver is the first in a series of Urban Dialogues that will honor alumni of Hunter College Urban Affairs and Planning who have made valuable contributions to urban planning, policy and advocacy.

The inaugural program will include a dialogue between Mitch and his former professor and mentor, Dr. Eugenie Birch, FACIP. Dr. Birch, former Chair, Hunter Urban Affairs and Planning, currently serves as the Chair of the Graduate Group and Co-Director of the Institute for Urban Research at University of Pennsylvania.

At the event, Hunter Urban Affairs and Planning will honor Mitch as the first recipient of the Robert Weaver Distinguished Service Award.

The event also serves as a way to raise funds in support of students who currently attend and will attend Hunter Urban Affairs and Planning programs. Such support includes but is not limited to scholarships, travel to conferences, equipment as well as workshops and studios.
