Last Day to Submit Comments on NYMTC Transportation Improvement Plan 2008-2012 Amendments

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) announces a comment period for proposed amendments to the NYMTC 2008-2012 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The comment period starts November 23, 2009 and will end December 2, 2009. Three new transit projects are proposed for programming in Rockland County. One recreational trails project is proposed for the Bronx. One new roadway project is proposed for programming in Suffolk County. Also proposed for programming is a traffic and safety study at various locations in Nassau and Suffolk counties. This comment period gives the public the opportunity to provide feedback to NYMTC on the proposed changes to the NYMTC TIP.

Comments should be sent in writing to the contact for the area noted below by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
