About the speaker:

Tom Jost has spent a career studying the urban environment and working on projects that are shaping it as an urban planner. His career includes positions at Arup, field operations, HOK and the City of New York, and his projects include the High Line, Fresh Kills Park, the St. George Ferry Terminal and the LEED Gold Winrock World Headquarters. Two recent examples of his work include the Destiny Eco-City in Florida and the Long Island 2035 Sustainability Plan. His practice is dedicated to the exploration of the urban environment and the resolution of the complex problems facing urban regions.

Tom is a LEED Accredited Professional, AICP accredited, a 16 year member of the MTA PCAC, a member of the Forum for Urban Design, the AIA Planning and Urban Design Committee and co-chair of the APA Economic Development Committee in New York City. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Lehigh University and a Master of Urban Design from Pratt Institute.
