I can't imagine a reinvention of the automobile that will make "personal urban mobility" any less dangerous, inconvenient and alienating. Can anyone else?

The idea of something called "the Earth Institute" inviting this guy to talk about "personal urban mobility" makes me think they're trying to outdo their colleagues who invited Ahmedinejad to speak at Columbia. But I'm guessing they're just clueless Tepper liberals.
