If you’re eager for local improvements like bike lanes and bike parking, a car-free park, more block parties, wider sidewalks or bus rapid transit, your Community Board is step one. But Community Boards are only as open-minded and effective as the people who sit on them. That’s why we’re calling on our network of smart, motivated and civic-minded friends to apply to join a local Community Board this year.
On November 23, Transportation Alternatives invites you to learn about, and apply for, Community Board membership at the Second Annual Community Board Jammy Jam. This party is the best place to learn about making change through local government, chat with current Community Board members, pick up, fill out and notarize your application, and have a good time. We want to make joining your Community Board fast, easy and enjoyable.
