How's about telling people NOT to chain their bikes to people's gates and fences?

I've had to cut two bikes off my fence because people abandoned them there. I've got 3 bent spindles because people decided to either try and steal a bike, or because some idiot couldn't get his bike off after locking it on. My paint is chipped and my iron rusted from where people have chained their bikes to my fence.

Most annoyingly, there are FIVE bike racks with space for more than FORTY bikes within half a block of my house. One of them is literally ten feet away. And yet I frequently see people locking their bikes to my fence when there's empty space on the racks.

I support biking, but it's really hard to stay supportive when people are so disrespectful and destructive.
