Let's get it straight: Kit Bond has worked actively against Complete Streets and is willing to provide piles of public assistance to MoDOT to destroy neighborhoods and to build larger highways. It's sickening but it is Mizzourah (Bond's preferred pronunciation).

David: Interesting that you consider "GOPers" a type of left-wing shorthand; that's news to me. It's in use pretty regularly on a variety of media sites. (e.g. Newsweek: http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/thegaggle/archive/2009/10/02/gopers-snicker-over-obama-s-loss.aspx; NY Daily News: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2009/10/21/2009-10-21_sc_gops_edwin_merwin_jr_and_jim_ulmer_apologize_for_antisemitic_remarks_in_defen.html)

Many of you may disagree, but I wonder if Streetblog should avoid left-wing/Democrat blogosphere terminology such as "GOP-ers." Even though people like those on NYPD Rant might think that everyone who so much as glances at Streetsblog is a "lib," I like to think of the livable streets movement as appealing to people of all political stripes, and I wonder if such terminology might put that at risk for this site.
