Be as concise as possible and emphasize the PROVEN safety benefits to ALL street users, including pedestrians. talk up the idea that this will REGULATE the flow of cyclists on a street by providing a safe place where bikes can ride and where everybody else knows where to look for them. Those are the best messages - not all Board members are enlightened enough to necessarily want more bikes (yet).
