On all four Sundays this September, Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill will transform into an active, car-free public space perfect for walking, cycling, dancing, and people-watching! The Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership has joined forces with DOT’s Weekend Walks initiative to create Move About Myrtle, bringing together residents, merchants and visitors in celebration of community and public space on the 7 blocks of Myrtle between Clinton and Emerson. The pedestrian space will have a jam-packed schedule of free games, cooking demos, yoga and dance classes, kids activities, music, a roller rink, merchant specials, and whatever else you’ve always wanted to do on a 7-block stretch of street closed off to cars for the day.
