The 2009 Draft Congestion Management Process Status Report provides a summary description of roadway traffic congestion, including a focus on seven regional performance measures. NYMTC's planning area is a federally-designated transportation management area. Federal planning regulations require a CMP in transportation management areas to manage traffic congestion through the integrated management and operation of the transportation system. In order to fulfill Federal requirements, the CMP Status Report is published every four years in conjunction with the release of NYMTC's Plan.

The public review period for NYMTC’s Congestion Management Process (CMP) Status Report opened on Monday July 20, and runs through Wednesday August 19. Two public review webinars will be held on Tuesday August 11, at 3PM and 6PM.
