- 2010-2035 NYMTC Regional Transportation Plan
NYMTC’s Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) establishes a shared, long-term vision for the transportation network serving the New York Metropolitan Region – New York City, Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley.
Setting the region’s transportation agenda for the next 25 years is the goal of the Regional Transportation Plan. Updated every four years, the RTP both forecasts future trends and provides a blueprint for long-range strategic transportation studies and investments. The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) invites you to take part in this process by examining, and commenting on the draft RTP.
NYMTC is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for New York City, Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley. It is responsible for a continuing, coordinated, and comprehensive transportation planning process in its Region in order to receive federal transportation funding.
The 2010-2035 RTP will guide long-range transportation decision making in the NYMTC region. Your input on this plan will help us guide the process of determining future transportation infrastructure that can support economic opportunity, livable communities and environmental protection through a comprehensive transportation planning and investment strategy. We thank you for your interest and engagement.
