What does the future hold for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority? With fare increases as of June 2009, a change in leadership on the horizon, the current fiscal crisis, and multiple capital projects underway, the options for the MTA’s future are vast but uncertain. Join Assemblyman Richard Brodsky; Council Member Gail Brewer; Nicole Gelinas, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute; and Paul Steely White, Executive Director of Transportation Alternatives, as they discuss the prospects for the MTA, moderated by Henry Stern, Director of New York Civic (and opponent of MTA funding mechanisms like bridge tolls and congestion pricing).
