The main event for the week has to be the Bicycle Film Festival, which starts Wednesday. But there's plenty more happening on the Streetsblog Calendar. Here's a sampling.

• Monday: Five Borough Bicycle Club June Meeting: Nassau County Prosecutor’s DWI Crackdown. In light of the interest in holding drivers accountable for their actions, tonight's 5BBC general meeting will feature remarks by Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice, who received national media attention for a major prosecution and education initiative to combat drunk driving. 6:30 p.m.
• Tuesday: Book Launch & Celebration: Genius of Common Sense. This is the first book to introduce young people to activist and author Jane Jacobs. In words and pictures, "Genius of Common Sense: Jane Jacobs and the Story of The Death and Life of Great American Cities" follows Jacobs from her Scranton childhood through her ground-breaking work and battles to save New York neighborhoods. • Wednesday: Bicycle Film Festival Kick-Off: Bikes Rock. Originating in New York City, the Bicycle Film Festival is the earliest voice of one of the most powerful and culturally relevant movements of the past decade, the urban bike movement. The BFF has played a formative role in urban youth culture, and brings many communities together around a shared passion for bicycling. The festival kicks off with Bikes Rock, a free concert featuring performances by national and local talent that has resonance within the bicycle movement. South Street Seaport. 7 p.m.
• Thursday: Holland on the Hudson?: What the Dutch Can Teach New York City About Streets and Transportation. This presentation by Transportation Alternatives' Executive Director Paul Steely White coincides with the 400th anniversary of Captain Henry Hudson's historic sail from Amsterdam on a Dutch East India Company ship, the Halve Maen (Half Moon). • Friday: New York State First Lady Michelle Paterson Rides Hudson Greenway. Streetsblog readers are invited to join New York State First Lady Michelle Paterson as she bikes from Battery Park City to Harlem via the Hudson River Greenway. The ride will highlight the 400th anniversary of the Dutch discovery of the Hudson River, and will begin with a very brief talk from a local historian who will speak about the anniversary and the Dutch influence on NYC, including how Harlem got its name. 3 p.m.
