Tillary Street plays a key role in the transportation network of Downtown Brooklyn, providing linkages for pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists alike, and its intersection with Adams Street is the gateway to the Brooklyn Bridge. Tillary Street and portions of Adams Street are scheduled for total reconstruction in 2012. This provides an opportunity to reconceptualize how this roadway works for all of its users. It is not too early to plan for how this street can look and function in the future.
Following up on a successful public workshop held in January, New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) will hold another forum in order to present conceptual corridor designs, which were using the input from the workshop.
The meeting will include:
- Review of Issues and Suggestions from January Workshop
- Presentation of Conceptual Designs by NYCDOT Staff
- Opportunities for Additional Input
