		<description>From what I can tell the nay-sayers&#039; opposition stems from their unwillingness to lose any square-footage of asphalt, period, rather than anything specific about this particular experiment. Because if you give an inch here, sooner or later pedestrians will be on an equal footing with automobiles when it comes to the allocation of space in the city, and we can&#039;t allow that.</description>

The Naked Cowboy doesn&#039;t wear clothes because no one can hear him over the din of traffic noise and a clothed man with a guitar doesn&#039;t stand out while you in fear of cars running you over. It shows what lengths people go to just to grab a moment&#039;s attention above the noise and fear of automobiles that dominates a pedestrian&#039;s life.</description>
