The exhibit opening of "Into the Open: Positioning Practice" featuring about a dozen projects including moving and still images of the Rebar Group's Panhandle Bandshell project. The Bandshell is a public performance space built using recycled car hoods, plastic water bottles and wooden doors. The exhibit was previously presented at Venice Biennale American Pavilion.

From Parson's: "The exhibition explores how architects, urban researchers, and community activists are meeting the challenges of creating new work in response to contemporary social conditions and addresses factors challenging traditional methods of architecture. The 16 practitioners included demonstrate multifaceted responses to social and environmental issues."
