The Kheel-Komanoff Plan will benefit NYC by providing:
- Free 24-your NYC bus service that is 15-20% faster.
- A dramatic cut in subway fares, with no fare on weekends, holidays and late-night.
- Less crowded subways during rush hour, and more…
The plan would be funded by surcharges on auto and truck traffic and increased bridge tolls.
Hear:
- Charles Komanoff (An activist, energy economist and one of the plan’s designers; he is Co-Director of the Carbon Tax Center)
- Transporation Alternatives (A representative will speak explaining why TA is supporting the plan & why other New Yorkers should, too.)
Time for Q & A and discussion.
