Cold weather is here but that's not gonna stop us. In this holiday spirit our next monthly bike ride will be this Sunday, December 14th. It's forecast to be pretty decent weather (clear and around 40 degrees) but just to make sure we don't freeze, this will be a light 11 mile ride that hits several streets which came up in recent Google group discussions debating if/where bike lanes are needed. It also hits some roads that the NYC bike map designates as planned/proposed routes so we can check those too and talk about it during Thursday's meeting. We'll meet at the top of the Park at Grand Army Plaza @ 11:00 am, ride, then end the day back in the Prospect Park to all go ice skating at Wollman Rink. It costs $11.50 (5 admission, 6.50 skate rental) and we'll be able to enjoy the winter weather AND also hand out more Car-Free Prospect Park postcards, giving face to face arguments with park users who we need to support our campaign !
