		<description>Was in the Historic District of Savannah, GA last week and they have at least one chunk of on-street bike parking similar to the one in the title frame of the vid above.  

That district is a model of livable streets design in many other ways, too--of course that&#039;s mostly attributable to the city&#039;s choice, repeated a couple times over a century or two, to stick to the original 1733 city&#039;s grid plan.

There are also several modern safety devices built more recently into the city&#039;s streets; my friggin camera broke so I couldn&#039;t do another Pulitzer-worthy (boring) livable streets photo set like I did from Glasgow, Scotland, but I will upload a few interesting ones to flickr soon.</description>
