As part of its Fulton Mall Streetscape Project, the New York City Economic Development Corporation will close to traffic DeKalb Avenue between Bond Street and Fulton Street and incorporate this reclaimed area into a landscaped pedestrian plaza. This closure has been approved by the New York City Department of Transportation. By law, all street closures lasting longer than 180 days are subject to a Community Reassessment, Impact, and Amelioration (CRIA) Statement or Environmental Assessment Statement, and a public forum prior to the statement’s issuance.
A presentation will be made at this forum which provides an overview of the project and summarizes the impacts, as disclosed within the draft Environmental Assessment. Members of the public are invited to attend and will be given the opportunity to make comments during and subsequent to the meeting.
