But Nostrand Ave, Ocean Ave., and Ave. U in Sheepshead Bay are all death traps. That nabe needs some serious traffic calming.</description>

For CB2 in Queens, we have 33/1772 = 1.86% of the injires being fatal, not that different from Manhattan CB3.</description>

		<description>Interesting to see those stats conglomerated by community district. That could really show you which Community Board districts are most in need of traffic calming, based on what percentage of crashes results in injuries or deaths.

For example, in Manhattan CB3 (shown), 98.2% of crashes resulted in injury, 1.8% resulted in death. I bet the fatality percentage is much higher for other CB&#039;s across the city. Would be good to see a comparison.


As a side note, I find these statistics positively chilling and it makes me sick to my stomach to throw the numbers around in conversation. 58 human lives were lost in CB3 over 10 years, simply as a consequence of being a pedestrian. That might be more than murders. If I were a member of CB3, lowering those numbers would be one of my top priorities.</description>
