We rode pretty much the entire trip with the "Classics" Club and it was quite a hoot. There was one guy with a huge chrome skull and crossbomes mounted on his handlebars, his bike must have weighed 300 lbs! At one point some impatient motorist that got mixed in with the ride started honking at us. The Classics Club members just started honking back with their infinitely louder air horns and sirens! One motorist got so upset she just pulled over to get away from the honking. Wouldn't you know my camera was full and I couldn't tape it!

ah, but that pizza comes from a corp. that was known to support anti-abortion campaigns.

also, in the video, where are the classic schwinn dudes?????? they are practically the best part of the ride!!!! they ARE the bronx!!!! da brAWnx, yo!

on another note, that part of the 40 miler around the pelham parkway could have used far better marking .... was there even a trail part for that? no, i did not have the turn sheet as i also refused the "swag" bag - utter waste!

all in all though, a fun ride that indeed as a great tour do bronx!

What an amazing day! Many thanks to all the organizers and facilitators :) Just one request for next year, though...please don't give out those bags with plastic trash-to-be in them (frisbees/water bottles -- I saw many being thrown out.) I didn't take one cause it seemed wasteful, but then you had to have the ticket inside for the pizza at the end...
