		<description>I&#039;m sorry but American cars, for the most part have been behind the the curve and obsolete from the moment of production since the 1970&#039;s.  

I make a point to try to buy American (which is becoming exponentially more difficult with ever passing year) but I would never consider buying an American car.  I&#039;ll stick to driving my 15yo VW about 3000 miles every year.</description>

		<description>Michigan&#039;s car-centric economy is based on a form of transportation that peak oil will make obsolete. Those folks will eventually need to switch over their assembly lines to trains and bikes. Don&#039;t laugh -- after all, GM is already a major bus manufacturer.</description>

What could be more American than having the freedom to choose from a wide variety of transportation options?
