Hey, I’m Walkin’ Here! invites like-minded bipeds to explore New York en masse for both entertainment and exercise. Tonight, we’ll walk the entire length of Broadway within the city limits, from Riverdale to Battery Park. To beat the heat and the Midtown crowds, this will be a NIGHTTIME WALK. This is the Bronx-Manhattan segment of the borough-covering series (whose name references Dustin Hoffman’s famous outburst in Midnight Cowboy). The 16-mile promenade down Broadway begins at Van Cortlandt Park, ends at Battery Park, and passes through Central Park, the Great White Way, and several Squares, to name a few. Loose clothing and comfortable shoes are par for the course — as is banging a note of respect on any crosswalk-impinging cab.
