- Variable, from $35 to $99, depending on distance and qualification. The earlier you register, the more you will save on the entry fee, so don't wait 'til race day! Register by May 15 and save up to 25% on the entry fee. Register by Aug. 31 and receive a free race jacket.

- Safety: Park drive is closed to traffic during event but is open for recreation use (cyclists, pedestrians, etc.); some caution and courtesy is required. Helmets and wrist guards are required. No iPods or other MP3 players, no headphones, no cellphones and no ski-type poles are permitted in any category.
Get ready for the best time of the year on skates. Sure, many of the best distance skaters in the world will be there for one of the most serious races in North America, but the NYC Skate Marathon is open to all! Beginners to experts, 8 to 80, this event is for everyone. Join the fun, take the challenge, meet skaters from all around the world, try something new or do it again — this event rocks! Beautiful Prospect Park in Brooklyn provides a wonderful traffic free route.
Distances and Categories:
— New York 100K: Rec/Fitness, Advanced/Speed, and Pro/Elite.
— NYC Skate Marathon (42K): Rec/Fitness, Advanced/Speed, and Open/Pro.
— Half-Marathon (21K): Rec/Fitness and Advanced/Speed.
— 5K Fun Skate: Rec/Fitness only - for skaters aged 13 and older.
— Youth 5K: Rec/Fitness and Advanced/Speed - for skaters aged 12 and under only.
Pri zes: Cash purse for 100K pro/elite. Medals for age group winners. Merchandise prizes raffled amongst all participants and awarded to top finishers.
Aid: Water carrier is essential. Aid station will re-supply water.
Course Description: The Prospect Park loop is smooth, wide, moderately hilly with one long climb and several smaller climbs. The loop is approximately 5.3K in circumference and has been entirely repaved within the last few years. 5K is 1 lap; 21K Half-Marathon is 4 laps; 42K Skate Marathon is 8 laps; 100K is 19 laps.
