DOT Launches NYC Plaza Program

After one year of planning, NYC DOT will launch the long-awaited NYC Plaza Program. As a key part of Mayor Bloomberg’s PlaNYC 2030, this event will finally initiate an innovative community-based planning program that will create new plazas every year so that all New Yorkers will have greater access to quality open space. The NYC Plaza Program is a collaborative program that is partnering with various city agencies, including SBS, Parks, the Department of Design & Construction, and City Planning. This event officially kicks off the first round of the NYC Plaza Program.
