You’ve heard about the “greening” of Grand Central Terminal and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. You know why transit-oriented development is gaining momentum as the metropolitan region seeks to become more sustainable than it already is. Now you can learn more about the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s plans for the projects and policies that will advance the region’s environmental sustainability. Ernest Tollerson, MTA Director for Policy and Media Relations, and Projjal Dutta, MTA Director of Sustainability Initiatives, will present a brief slideshow to be followed by an online Q&A with participants.
For background material, including the MTA Sustainability Commission’s interim report, released in April, visit mta.info/environment
Building on the feedback received from past public outreach initiatives, the MTA is committed to continuing a dialogue with its customers. To advance this discussion, the agency will be holding four "webinars,” or online seminars, this year. This will be the second, and you are invited to participate. Just log onto mta.info at noon on Tuesday, June 17.
