Community Board 7 will hold a full board meeting to consider the DOT's proposal to implement buffered bike lanes on both sides of West 106th Street between Riverside Drive and Central Park West. While not a perfect plan, this cross-town connection is a crucial step towards the safe and integrated system of bikeways that UWS cyclists both need and deserve.

Though there has been a great response from the community so far, a positive vote from the board is far from certain. Please come out on Tuesday night and voice your support for this project. It is extremely important that we show the members of CB 7 that the 106th St. bike lane has a lot of backing from within the community, so bring a friend!
