The Tri-State Transportation Campaign and the New Haven Urban Design League will be hosting a presentation, headlined by John Norquist, President of the Congress for the New Urbanism and former Mayor of Milwaukee, calling for the Route 34 Connector to be removed and replaced with workforce housing, retail and open space. A question and answer session will take place immediately afterwards.

The event, sponsored by the City of New Haven, will also feature Albert Martin, ConnDOT Deputy Commissioner of Responsible Growth and Kelly Murphy, Economic Development Administrator for the City of New Haven. Deputy Commissioner Martin and Administrator Murphy will speak about Connecticut's broader responsible growth efforts and about the City of New Haven's plan for Route 34, respectively.
