In the past few months, final or interim reports have been released by three key bodies looking at the transportation finance crisis. However, there has been little discussion of how the results from each of these groups fits with the results and recommendations from the others. Join us, and representatives from
- the National Surface Transportation Policy & Revenue Commission;
- the National Surface Transportation Infrastructure Financing Commission; and,
- the National Academy of Public Administration’s Intergovernmental Forum on Transportation Finance
as we explore the findings from these groups and what they mean as we move to the next federal surface transportation funding bill.
Speakers:
Frank McArdle (the National Surface Transportation Policy & Revenue Commission) is a Senior Advisor for the General Contractors Association of New York, which was founded in 1908 and is the trade association for the heavy construction industry active in New York City.
Kathy Ruffalo (National Surface Transportation Infrastructure Financing Commission) is a government affairs consultant who has a broad and diverse and bi-partisan career in public policy with 16 years of experience at both federal and state levels.
Mortimer Downey, III (National Academy of Public Administration’s Intergovernmental Forum on Transportation Finance) is Chairman of PB Consult, Inc. a Parsons Brinckerhoff subsidiary providing advisory and management consulting services to public and private owners, developers, financers and builders of infrastructure projects worldwide.
