High school juniors and seniors interested in improving and expanding public transportation in the United States are encouraged to apply for the American Public Transportation Association’s Teening Up for a Greener World: A Youth Summit to Advance Public Transportation. The three-day summit will be June 22-24 at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and will include seminars, tours, and a day on Capitol Hill. APTA will underwrite 100% of the travel, program, and living expenses for program participants. There are 50 spots available for high school juniors and seniors 18 years old and younger.

Public transportation is more than simply a bus or a train. It is more than a way from getting from point A to point B. Public transportation is changing communities, large and small, helping save the environment, and enhancing lives.

This June, rising junior and senior high students from across America will do something cool and green.  They will come together in Washington, DC for the “Teening” Up for a Greener World Youth Summit, sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association, to help our environment and make our communities better.
