For anyone that’s curious, someone at Padavan’s website reset the poll as soon as it started leaning towards favoring congestion pricing. Don’t put a poll on the internet if you don’t want it to be open to the world Senator Padavan. His website is http://www.frankpadavan.com

By the way, I also don’t see any reason why Padavan is/should be against CP. For him, like for so many, it seems to be a knee-jerk “us vs. them” sentiment, completely neglecting the fact that most of “us” don’t own cars and therefore would be happy to let “them” have more space for theirs as long as they help pay for transit facilities that most of “us” use.

I’m not sure myself, Curious and Ed.

Padavan was identified by the Campaign as “anti,” but has not been outspoken about it one way or the other from what I can tell. He spent most of the meeting talking about jitneys, taxis, limos, helicopters, etc., and while never declaring his position, there was a definite lack of enthusiasm.

Interestingly, his web site has a pricing poll on it. Maybe he’s looking for something to point to as a rationale for getting behind CP, or not.

Why vote against this guy in the “livable streets” issue when you can vote against him as retailiation for having NYC’s state education funding cut, in contrast with increases for the rest of the state, in the last two recessions?
