Jonathan

I may have some insight as to why Amgen chose cycling beyond the link to performance enhancement. Epogen allows people undergoing chemotherapy to have a more regular / active life. I know from doing lots of advertising research (I'm a market researcher by trade) that people see walking and biking as a much more realistic and achievable activity than say running or mountain climbing.

Ben, the Staten Island ferry and its terminals are run by the City DOT. MTA had nothing to do with the fish tanks.

The Sac Bee article is pegged to the Amgen Tour of California, brought to you by the makers of Epogen, or synthetic erythropoietin, one of the drugs used by Tour de France dopers. Wow.
