As friend and neighbor Sam Hindy knew well, bicycling is the greenest, most efficient mode of urban transportation. So what will it take to make NYC streets bike-friendly? A 15 minute presentation and ensuring discussion with Paul Steely White, the executive director of Transportation Alternatives. The Gate has pledged receipts from the evening will benefit Transportation Alternatives' efforts to improve NYC's bike path network and build a strong culture of street safety and respect for human-powered transportation.
