Entries for the contest to design a logo for the first annual Tour de Queens will be displayed at the party. The TA Queens Committee is having a contest to design the logo for the Inaugural Tour de Queens. The logo should be Queens related, be designed with no more than 2 colors, have the words Tour de Queens in it as well as the date (June 8th 2008). We'll be using it not only on the website and all our fliers, etc, but also integrate it into the TdQ t-shirt. The route will go through Western Queens starting at the Unisphere at Flushing Meadows Park, cruising along the bay and the East River, then going east through LIC and Maspeth's industrial areas and returning to Flushing Meadows. Feel free to use any landmarks or trademark Queens icons in the logo. All submissions must be sent to heffronmike [at] gmail [dot] com or posted at Google Groups by January 11th. This contest is open to anyone that would like to enter not just current members.
