On Monday we'll be announcing Streetsblog's coveted year-end awards, the Streetsies. That will be our last post of the year and we'll see you back here the first week of January.

You should think about calling them the Mercuries after the figures atop the old traffic signals in NYC. I’m having trouble finding an example online but know I’ve seen them referred to in NYT pieces in the past.
