		<description>When DOT Commish JSK was acknowledged during the opening ceremony the crowd absolutely roared its approval. It really was something. Clarence is right, it was probably the most enthusiastic and heartfelt ovation I&#039;ve ever seen for a public servant.

It was a beautiful day and a great ride. There must have been a good 2,000 New Yorkers out on their bicycles, including fathers with kids on the back of their bikes, hip-hop BMX riders, the Puerto Rican Bike Classics club, hipsters from Brooklyn, old ladies on reclining bikes, and everybody in between.</description>
