Borough President Carrion has sold out the Bronx Twice, with the new stadium and now the garages.
He will not get my vote if he runs for Mayor or any other political office.

The garage fiasco could be mitigated if it were to replace the existing parking lots that now serve the stadium. At least this one is multi-tier, instead of the sprawl that the others take up. If this battle is indeed lost, the goal now should be to insure it is state of the art - whatever that means in parking garages - and is not allowed to increase the total amount of parking.

Note to anyone and everyone who may be pondering the significance of the Yankee Stadium fracas: It is possible to achieve urban economic growth without promoting car dependency.
