		<description>Well my personal favorite is the New York Post calling AMTRAK a money losing service.  AMTRAK has a much higher operating ratio than the New York Post.

But seriously folks, one big reason that AMTRAK is showing these good balance sheets is that the workers haven&#039;t had a wage increase in eight years and are the lowest paid in the commuter rail industry.  AMTRAK has very serious labor supply issues especially in the heavily travelled and efficient Northeast Corridor where AMTRAK &quot;owns&quot; the right of way it travels on.</description>
