#1, I think Gotbaum is serious. That is the tragedy. Even her own puff piece fails, as she does.

Shows you what a loser we have have in office for over five years. She is a disgrace. She advocates for nothing except her preposterous bid for Mayor.

What a waste of taxpayer's money. She makes MArk Green seem like a knight in armor.

I know people who used to complain about Mark Green. The same people tell me they wish he was still in office. Gotbaum has been a big fat ZERO for the city. This extremely funny video proves it cause as Steve notes it is hard to tell what the video is trying to do.

(Wonder if they got permission to use Tom Petty's song?)

“Too many American cities are spending far too much money on expensive rail transit projects, which are used for only 1 to 2 percent of local travel, and far too little on highway projects which are used for 95 to 99 percent of local travel,” Randal O’Toole, a senior fellow with the Cato Institute, said in an e-mail interview.

Note that the Times allowed Randal O'Toole to bash transit without a quote from any transit advocate. Yeah, such a liberal rag!

In light of the bridge collapse, it's hard to believe that not one NYC political leader has stepped forward to call for tolls on every bridge and tunnel in NYC to raise money for maintenance and repairs. On Sunday, I paid $2.25 to cross the bridge across the Harlem River on the Henry Hudson Parkway. Likewise, there should be a toll for every bridge over the East River to fund ongoing maintenance and repair, especially in light of the wear and tear on these bridges from the extremely heavy traffic volumes. When's the Mayor going to wake up and display some guts and common sense on this issue?
