Cool feature. However, the list would be considerably more useful if it also noted which article comments were attached to: Most comments don't establish their context, which makes it hard to tell if it's a conversation one wants to follow or not.

No good deed goes unpunished. It will lead to an escalation of the rhetorical arms race as we each strive to out-do the other and make the short list. We call that Mutually Assured Destruction.

How about another feature -- the "last word"

Thanks Ian -- we'll note that for the next round of updates.
Also, we introduced an update to our search results today, to make them more scannable and google-like. Take a look here.

A small step -- now if you hover over the "@person@ said:" in the recent comments, you will see the title of the post. I'm hesitant to put the entire title up there since it might make everything a bit hard to read, but hopefully this will help.
Look for more good stuff around recent comments coming soon...

We've added a new "Recent Comments" feature to the sidebar beneath "Hot Topics." The five most recent comments will always be posted there. Hopefully, this will give people another good way to delve into and keep track of the ongoing conversations here on Streetsblog.
Any other feature requests? Feel free to let us know here in the comments section.
