That "Respect" logo is a nice idea, but it looks like the bike and car are going to collide, and the little man at the top is in the middle of the road.

Kudos to Groundswell, T.A., and the young people dedicating themselves to this project.

Third Avenue is only going to get worse if Whole Foods has its way. The store planned for Third Avenue and 3rd Street will generate at least 1,500 new car trips a day, and the company has stonewalled community groups calling for the implementation of a sensible transportation-management plan intended to promote alternatives to auto-based shopping trips. When are local politicians going to take action?

maybe this initiative will be enough to finally press the DOT to fix those dangerous streets, as they have been planning on doing for several years now with the downtown brooklyn traffic calming project.

I like the "Respect" sticker idea - will T.A. have an online version of the pledge for non-Brooklynites to get one of these?

I like the "Insert Portrait of" part - they should keep that and just tweak it to: "Insert Portrait of Your Child Here".
